The organization manages multiple facilities and sub-associations, including Sierra Canyon, a 55+ sub-association with its own dedicated amenities and clubhouse, Aspen Lodge.

Aspen Lodge is the primary amenity facility serving Sierra Canyon residents and includes indoor and outdoor recreational amenities, fitness spaces, activity rooms, and community gathering areas designed to support an active adult lifestyle.

Job Summary:
The Sierra Canyon Community Association Manager, under the direction of the Somersett Community Manager is responsible for the daily operations, facility coordination, and service delivery of Aspen Lodge, serving Sierra Canyon.

This position serves as the primary on-site leader for lodge operations and is accountable for maintaining a high standard of facility performance, staff execution, and resident experience. The Sierra Canyon Community Association Manager ensures that operations are structured, consistent, and aligned with organizational expectations.

The role provides direct oversight of on-site staff, establishes clear operational processes, and ensures that all services, programming support, and facility use are executed with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of Aspen Lodge, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for Sierra Canyon residents.
  • Provide direction, scheduling, and oversight of on-site staff, including attendants, administrative staff, and part-time personnel.
  • Support amenity and lifestyle programming by coordinating facility use, assisting with event setup, and ensuring smooth execution of activities.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the facility to monitor conditions, safety, and service levels.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors for repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with facility rules, policies, and safety standards specific to Sierra Canyon and Somersett Owners Association.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents regarding lodge use, amenities, and general concerns, resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in tracking facility usage, program participation, and operational needs to support planning and improvements.
  • Support vendor coordination, including access, scheduling, and oversight of work performed at Aspen Lodge.
  • Monitor vendor contracts and service agreements to ensure work is completed within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records related to facility operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Attend Board meetings, committee meetings, and staff meetings.
  • Assist in the development and ongoing monitoring of the Aspen Lodge operating budget, including tracking day-to-day expenses and ensuring alignment with approved budget levels.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approval, and coordinate with accounting on accounts payable and vendor payments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong leadership and staff coordination skills in a facility or service-based environment.
  • Ability to manage daily operations while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, vendors, and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic facility or scheduling systems.
  • Ability to identify operational issues and take appropriate action or escalate when needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of:
  • Facility operations, maintenance coordination, and safety practices.
  • Recreational or amenity-based service environments.
  • Basic understanding of community association operations and governing documents.
  • General awareness of Nevada Revised Statutes related to common-interest communities (NRS 116).
Ability to:
  • Provide clear direction and oversight to staff.
  • Maintain a professional and service-oriented presence in a resident-facing environment.
  • Adapt to changing operational needs, including seasonal demands.
  • Work independently while remaining aligned with management direction.



Education and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, recreation management, or related field required, and
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related field, with prior supervisory experience preferred, or
  • A combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Licensure: Active Nevada Community Association Manager (CAM) license in good standing required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and talking.
Work Schedule:
This Full-Time position works weekday and weekend hours and may include holidays. The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the organization.
