Job Summary:
The Somersett Safety/Compliance Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the proper usage of Somersett amenities through regular patrols of the Club at Town Center, while also ensuring compliance with the regulations set forth by the Somersett Owners Association. This role requires the ability to respectfully enforce all rules, regulations, and procedures established by the SOA to uphold the well-being of residents. Experience in effectively managing interpersonal interactions with residents, including youth, is needed for this role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Safety/Compliance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the safe activities of the property.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Compliance

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of violations, correspondence, and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular property maintenance inspections to uphold or attain minimum property standards, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Communication: Prepare and distribute letters to property owners as needed, ensuring timely and effective communication regarding compliance matters.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate homeowner and association records in VMS (or similar software) and shared files, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Parking Enforcement
  • Regulation Enforcement: Enforce property and parking regulations within designated boundaries, ensuring consistency, fairness, and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Monitoring: Regularly monitor parking areas to prevent violations and maintain order.
  • Towing: Coordinate and manage the towing of vehicles that violate parking regulations, ensuring that all actions are taken in accordance with established protocols and legal requirements.

Safety and Security of the Club at Town Center
  • Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols and monitor activities on the premises to discourage criminal activities and ensure a safe environment.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that occur, ensuring management is informed and can take appropriate actions.
  • Evictions: Evict trespassers and violators in accordance with established protocols, ensuring safety and compliance.

Community Regulation Investigation and Guidance
  • Coordination with Homeowners: Work with homeowners to address violations, resolve disputes, and promote a culture of cooperation and compliance within the community.
  • Investigation: Investigate reported violations to determine their validity and take appropriate actions to address them effectively and efficiently.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and success of the HOA compliance program.

Minimum Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must meet NRS 648.060 requirements including:
    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Citizen of United States
    • No felony convictions
    • No illegal use of dangerous weapon
    • Possess Private Patrol Officer Exam certificate administered by State of Nevada
  • Proven experience with security or safety supervision
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to enable location tracking service for manager’s records during working hours.


Education and Experience:
  • At least three (3) years of related experience or education.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must have reliable vehicle to be used consistently around the community.
  • Must be able to obtain American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR Certification upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, and talking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at once.

Work requires the physical capacity of working for extended periods of time with exposure to diverse environmental situations and adverse weather conditions.

Work Schedule:
We are currently hiring the part-time position is weekday and weekend hours and may include holidays. This position works a wide variety of hours which often include evening, early morning, and overnights. The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the organization.
